Launch of new Australian support for renewable energy mini-grids

On 09 June 2021, the Australian Embassy in Cambodia was pleased to announce a new landmark initiative to electrify villages in Cambodia that are not connected to the grid. In partnership with Ministry of Mines and Energy Cambodia, Électricité du Cambodge, and Electricity Authority of Cambodia, Australia is providing up to A$2.0 million in grants over the next two years to stimulate private investment in renewable energy for locations that don’t have access to an electricity grid.
